Context
The old surface kept growing. Every release added scope, and managers on the floor could not get the basics done. We rebuilt around schedules and timekeeping only, and left the rest of HR to other tools.
Approach
We still build Timply in house with short paths: publish a schedule, record time, give supervisors a straight answer on who is working. Shops, kitchens, and job sites onboard fast because the app does not pretend to do everything.
Outcomes
Ten or more businesses now run weekly routines on Timply, with space to bolt on payroll or other systems when they are ready.
